The financial asset allocation and management research center of Jimei University is humanities and social sciences research base in Amoy. By gathering high-quality scientific research forces, the research aims at promoting the output and transformation of high-level research achievements, improving the level of social services. Thus, drive the quality promotion of high-level applied talents training of financial asset allocation and management on the west coast of the Taiwan Straits, and serve the construction of regional financial center on the west coast of the Taiwan Straits.

The main research fields include the theory and application practice of financial asset allocation, comparative research on the business model and regulatory model of financial asset management; the business model suitable for the characteristics of the region on the west coast of the Taiwan Straits, the steady and rapid development of asset management business. the application of financial technology in the allocation and management of financial assets, the new ideas for the development of financial asset management with Amoy regional characteristics, and comparative and cooperative study on the allocation and management of financial assets across the Straits.

The research team group has 17 researchers. Of which, eight have Ph. D and seven have master's degree. There are 5 professors and 10 associate professors. There is 1 excellent teacher in Fujian Province, 1 leading talent in philosophy and Social Sciences in Fujian Province, and three excellent talents support plan for colleges and universities in the new century in Fujian Province and 2 outstanding young scientific research talents in Fujian colleges and universities. In the past five years, the team has undertaken 3 national social science planning projects, 2 social science fund projects of the Ministry of education and 9 provincial social science projects. It has published more than 30 CSSCI papers, and won one provincial social science outstanding achievement award. It actively serve the local economic construction and undertake more than 20 horizontal projects.

The director is Professor Xie mianbi, and the deputy directors are Professor Wang Jin'an and Professor Zhang Yingwei.
