The accounting specialty can be traced back to Commercial Specialties, Jimei School, which was founded by Tan Kah Kee, the famous patriotic overseas Chinese leader, in Aug.1920. The school motto of Sincerity and Perseverance has been perfectly inherited over the past 100 years. In the year of 2020, it was approved as one of the national projects for the first-class undergraduate program development.

With the intention to serve economic development and social progress, the accounting discipline enrolled undergraduates in 1996, and in 2007 it was entitled to enroll Academic Master Degree postgraduates. So far, it has cultivated more than 250 postgraduates of this kind, and many of them are in the financial management of all walks of life.

The aim of cultivating postgraduates is oriented towards the school motto of Sincerity and Perseverance, and thus their work ethics have been shaped. Their academic development, targeted to the need for the talents in this field, is based upon the reality of Fujian Province and have that of the whole country in view.
